Delhi in Red Fort

The sleeping man's white clothing contrasts nicely with the repeating shadows and is framed beautifully. A favorite.

On my way home, I stayed over in Delhi a day and went to a market. The light was generally terrible, but this one gruesome shot caught my eye. I like the light, color and repitition. The grimacing of the heads adds a certain diabolical touch.

This is one of my favorite shots, taken in India in 1980. I came around the corner and barely had time to focus and get off one shot. The position and movement of his hammer is perfect. He has such a great, wheathered face.

I spent about 18 of my 24 hours in Agra at the Taj. This shot was taken about 6 a.m., and even then, I had to remove about 30-40 people from the picture. I also removed the fountain spouts and some plumbing from the reflecting pool.

The Taj Mahal complex has many beautiful buildings. This is one of the entrance pavillions backlit by a colorful sunset.
